Hannah Alexander is unable to post today. She’s without Internet service, so I’m filling in for her. We’re expecting a hurricane by Friday, so I’m a wee bit busy, but I thought I’d share the following video I created answering your question about writers who write articles and such for writers and if it helps sell that author’s novels. I hope you find it useful–the underlying truth in it can be applied to you in whatever you’re doing in your spare time that relates to your work.
Here is the video:
For writers, it’s all fodder. Every observation, everything you see, hear, read, experience. Related or seemingly unrelated, it does all relate. So even if your spare time activities don’t seem to be relevant, understand that in some way they are–or will be.
My best advice: Do what you do because you love it. Because it matters to you. If it is also helpful to others–even in some small way–so much the better!
